Ever Wonder

As I lay down sleepless, thinking, trying not to think, trying not to do pointless projections and endless retrospectives, I recall this old work of mine. And once rummaging through my laptop and blog, found it was never published. Ever wonder why you do some stuff yet don’t do some other stuff? Now I’m really curious about that. I think I’m a cat now because past me said he was lucky he’s not a cat, since curiosity kills it, and he was still alive back then. Sleep deprivation can cause sudden deaths like those serious Korean gamers who literally died frozen on their seat after consecutive all-nighters. Such a sad death. Nah, I’m still human, hehe. But a cat is fine too.

Ever wonder why the sea looks blue? Protip: Its not because of the sky. Look up Rayleigh.
Ever wonder why the sea looks blue? Protip: Its not because of the sky. Look up Rayleigh.

Ever wonder why clouds are water in the sky,

The sky is there but it isn’t,

The world keeps spinning but you don’t fall,

A boy will walk after he crawl,

And butterflies are not butter neither are they flies,

And all lands are islands,

No mainland at all.

.

And see your expressions, your feelings an’ all,

Like lust and love, both temperate and warm,

While anger is hot and sadness is cold,

And friendship is both, chocolate bittersweet.

..

Why the sun sets in the west, not the east?

Why the clouds fall when they are black?

Why is black darkest, none darker than that?

Why is white fairest, none fairer than that?

Why are we questioning and never just accept?

Why are we thinking, ever wonder that?
